Hi OzA
Short answer: you have nothing to do
More details: GG and other search engines do not index web sites, but web
pages (directoriies do index web sites).
Therefore your page, if it has an excellent content as far as a given query
is done, will be conisdered to be part of the answers.
Additional factors might raise or lower your ranking, and country is
probably one of them.
However .com domains are universal and not reserved to US-based companies
Therefore, if you have a good .com site, it should appear withing google's
search results.
You might decide to speed up things a little, by using Google.au (I suppose
there is one) to add one or 2 pages of your site.
