Drive Not Found on 98SE bootup

For the first time ever, when I bootup 98SE, I get a "Drive not Found", insert boot floppy then press any key, nothing happens. When I reboot the machine with the boot floppy in it, I get the 3 possibility error choice before the "A" prompt. either not a valid Fat32 partition, create another partition, or a virus. When windows is booting up i get this error massage .Windows found an error in your system files and restored a recent back-up of the files to fix the problem.Then it tells you to restart,but nothing happens but the same massage, over an over ,thanks in advance.

Running Win98FE and installed the sothink flv player Works great!, full screen, just double click on the .flv file and the video runs. Except... The icon in front of the .flv stays generic as though nothing will open it. Going to the Windows Explorer I went down through the whole list trying to find an association, nothing!... más »

Still trying to figure how to play videos

I still want to be able to play YouTubes and other videos online from Windows 98 using Firefox. An earlier thread talked about the FLV Player, but that doesn't seem to play videos online. It's for saving files to your computer and playing them there. As it is now, if I go to a youtube, there is a message saying I have old version of Flash player. get the latest flash... más »

No sounds in Windows 98 on virtual machine

In W98, no sounds. In the Sounds dialog, the arrow for testing Sounds events is grayed out. I figured it was a driver problem. In Device Manager, it says PCI Multimedia Audio Device. What type of PCI modem do I need? I didn't realize there are two different type of pci modems. The larger pci modem will fits the whole slot, the smaller pci modem fits it but does not use the whole slot and wont work. I need the larger pci modem that use the whole slot. Hi, After a system settings change that requires a computer restart or when I select Start/Shut Down/Restart, the computer will not restart: Diskette Drive gets interrogated, but the display remains black with no further progress.
